I don’t know if you know this but adult coloring books are all the rage now. Who would’ve thought? But you know, I’m all for it because I need some color in my life. I didn’t really know what I wanted in a coloring book. Does it have to be a literal cartoon coloring book? Does it have to be a blank space to create anything? I was definitely thinking too much about it. So when I stumbled upon, Whatever is Lovely: A Coloring Book for Reflection and Worship, I knew it was a perfect start.
Because adult coloring books are a thing.
The book is filled with verses and inspirational quotes surrounded by cute doodles. As someone who loves words, I loved this because it gave me tons of new quotes and verses that I can actually hang up if I colored it right. Some are simple to color in, while others, like the tree picture I abandoned, have much more intricate designs. It’s a pretty thick book but there’s only drawings on the right pages, while the pages in the left contain a message or explanation of a quote.
It’s a very cute book and if you need an inspirational boost, it’s fun to read what it’s saying and unleashing your creativity with what you think fits perfectly with it. I’m definitely going to make my way through it.
Are you a fan of adult coloring books? What are your opinions? What are you currently reading? I would love new suggestions!
I received this book from Blogging for Books for reviewing. All opinions are my own.
