If you follow beauty gurus on YouTube, then you’ve probably heard about Morphe. I feel like everyone has their thoughts on Morphe. Some love it but others think it’s overrated. Since a store is near me I decided to go to the store and shop for some things. Here are my Morphe first impressions and how I initially felt with what I got!

Brushes

I bought brushes for eyes and face. Brushes are by far the most popular thing at Morphe. I got the Morphe M439* for foundation because I’ve been only using my Beauty Blender so I wanted to try something new. I have nothing else to compare it with but I really liked it and I used it with different foundations and it blended out well.

The eyeshadow brushes are what I was most excited to try. I only got these three M332*, MB23*, and M166*. For a newbie, I found them super easy to use and applied the makeup well. They were soft but held the product well.

Eyeshadow

I’ve been loving Natalie Barbu’s eye makeup and wanted to try it. A lot of what I currently have is neutrals and cool colors. I didn’t want to splurge on an expensive palette so I got 15D Day Slayer* at Morphe. The shadows didn’t have much fallout and they were really pigmented. They blended out so well so I was impressed.

Liquid Lipstick

My holy grail liquid lipstick was Too Faced Melted Matte in Sell Out but I’ve lost every single one I buy and it’s expensive to keep repurchasing. I just needed a nude rose shade so I got Suspect* and it’s so great! My lips gets super dry and this one doesn’t dry them out and last a good amount of time.

Final Thoughts

I didn’t hate it and I was surprised. I feel like maybe because just hate Morphe because beauty gurus shill it so much. From what I’ve used, it’s gone well and I’ve liked it. It’s not perfect but it’s decent. I would definitely recommend if you don’t want to spend too much money.
