Love As Strong as Death

I feel like sometimes the meaning of Easter gets lost in between all the colorful eggs, traditions, and seasonal changes. But Easter is so much more than we make it out to be. It holds a much greater act than Christmas. Easter is all about Jesus and the love that allows us to have hope today. Our whole faith is rooted in this action. Jesus dying on the cross and resurrecting again.

Jesus’ mission on Earth was to redeem us from our sin. We are so faulty by nature that God had to send His son to die for us. If that’s not worth acknowledging I don’t know what is. In this time of flowers blooming and sunshine, let’s stop and reflect on the love the beat death.

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’” | Luke 24:6-7

The resurrection is the turning point of eternity. It’s the moment we no longer became slaves to our sin. Jesus died a gruesome death all for love. So before you go back to whatever tradition you have planned, take some time to thank our Savior. The whole reason we can be cleaned and have eternal life is Jesus. I can’t even correctly put into words the magnitude of His sacrifice. Easter is bigger than pastels, it’s about a love that ran red. Never get distracted by the greater purpose.

So let’s sing a song of praise.

The enemy has been defeated and death couldn’t hold You down. We’re gonna lift our voice in victory. We’re gonna make Your praises loud.

Jesus is the reason for this season. How do you give Him the glory?

  • Truth! Sometimes we get caught up for so many traditions that we forget the real meaning. This is not about celebrating a special day, is about being grateful all the year about God’s love for us through Jesus Christ. Great post Adriana! – Blessings
