You can have your wishes, your plans, but at the end of the day, it’s out of your control. | If I Stay
Nothing is certain. It’s a hard reality we face every day when we get up in the morning and with what’s going on in the world today, this is a harsher reality. I overthink everything, which is why this sort of thing always comes up in my head.
So what is this post about? It’s a reminder to focus on the good things because we never know what life can take us. I’m not saying to live a “YOLO” life, but to be aware that life is real and happening all around us. We may have plans but we can never be sure of what can happen.
We need to guard what is important. Our family, friends, and most importantly, our spiritual life.
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. | John 10:10.
For me, guarding my spiritual life means that God holds all my plans. I know I can enjoy and live out my life because He knows where my life is going. With all the uncertainty and confusion of life, I can trust that God isn’t going to let me live in fear of the circumstances that I see because He sees something much greater. At the end of the day, we will never know what happens and can never fully control life but we can take comfort that even before we were created God designed something for our lives. So enjoy life in Him but stay alert to what’s going on around you.
