Friend of Sinners – Rich Wilkerson Jr. | Review

I received this book from BookLook for reviewing. All opinions are my own.

I know I’m a little late to the game with this book but I still wanted to read it and talk about it. Friend of Sinners is Rich Wilkerson Jr’s newest book and I knew I had to get my hands on it. I listened to Vous’ messages every week and love them but I remember reading Sandcastle Kings and just thought it was okay. Here is my review on Friend of Sinners.

About the Book

Friend of Sinners is about how Jesus would rather have a relationship with us than trying to find perfect people. Throughout the book, Rich explains all Jesus did on while He was on earth and how he associated to people. He chooses people not because of the actions they have done but simply loves us. The book is also meant to be an application to our own lives to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Jesus did a lot of radical things when He was on earth and sometimes we forget that. Friend of Sinners is a great reminder that God’s grace is for everyone no matter what. I definitely enjoyed this one a lot and made me think more about how I am responding to others. Rich isn’t pushy but definitely tries to bring up a lot of things to challenge readers to break out of their perfect Christian mold. It was a great read and wasn’t too long.

Have you read it yet? What books have you been reading?
