I like quotes more than anything. It’s a quick way to get the gist of anything and can have so much to say in such few words. That’s one of the reasons I love writing so much. Words have so much power in them and can inspire so much, so I’m going to be sharing a few that I keep handy when I need a positive boost.
And if not, He is still good.
Sadly I don’t know who said this, there are many different sources, but I love it so much. It gives me so much hope because with whatever happens God always has the ultimate plan in my life and I can trust Him to guide me to what He wants.
The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive. • John Green, Looking for Alaska
Looking for Alaska is one of my favorite books and I can probably pick out tons of quotes that I love, so I narrowed it down. The book has some bitter truths and this quote is so simple and reminds us to let go or we’ll just go round and round.
That didn’t happen, of course. Things never happened the way I imagined them. • John Green, Looking for Alaska
It may be a bit a a downer, but hear me out. I tend to always make up grand scenarios in my head that would never come true, so reading this was 1) cool that someone relates and 2) made me realize that we need to stop imagining things a certain way because it will just upset us if it doesn’t happen. It reminds me to just go with the flow.
Don’t be afraid; just believe. • Mark 5:36
Since I can remember, this verse always stood out to me. I panic easily and want to be in control of everything. It’s another reminder to just leave everything in God’s hands and He’ll make things happen.
To create is to reflect the image of God. To create is an act of worship. • Erwin McManus
I never considered myself that creative but by selling myself short I realized that I was not living up to my full potential. This is one of those quotes that just gets to me and makes me want to use my talents because God gave them for a reason.
I had such a hard time narrowing down quotes because I have so many and I’m probably going to remember tons more after. What are some of your favorite quotes? I would love to hear them!
