Bottles in Two Ways DIYS

May 30, 2016Lifestyle

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions are mine alone.#ExpressUrSelfie #CollectiveBias

If my blog is any indication, I love music! A song can change my mood and my day in a way that other things can’t. Lyrics are the most relatable things ever, let’s be real. Need inspiration? Need a selfie caption? Lyrics got you!

So want to be refreshed and full of music? Coca-Cola™ has your back! Lyrics are the easiest way I can express myself. I have so many songs that represent certain seasons of my life and it’s amazing how some words strings together and bring me back to some of my favorite memories. Music is how I express myself because it can say so much more than my awkward self can.

Coca-Cola is all about expressing yourself! I already shared my selfie on Instagram but now you can too! You can enter the Share a Coke Sweepstakes at cokeplaytowin.com/shareacokesweepstakes for a chance to win tickets to the American Music Awards® and more. All you have to do is snap a selfie with your favorite lyrics on a Share a Coke® bottle or can. Upload your selfie to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareaCokeSweepstakes! You can enter up to 12 times to increase your chances of winning a trip for 2 to the2016 American Music Awards®, along with hundreds of other great prizes! Including: wireless headphones, wireless speakers, a 1 year Premium Music App Membership or a $50 Music Gift Card!

I went to my local Vons and got some 20oz. Coca-Cola bottles both plastic and glass because I like soda too much and I love options. So you have plenty of options to pick some up! I actually spent a good 5 minutes picking the right lyric for my mood. There are even Spanish lyrics so you can pick exactly what you want!

With Share a Coke and a Song, you have a wide collection of lyrics that you can share and sing along to with friends or just to hype yourself up. Plus, you can #ExpressUrSelfie just like I did to show your fun personality through your Coke!

So want to get music incorporated into your everyday life? Here are some fun and simple DIY to use your Coca-Cola bottles and keep the lyrics inspiring you!

Tutorial 1: Bottle Vase

What you need:

    • Coca-Cola Bottle (I’m using a glass one)
    • Flowers
  • Steel Galvanized Wire

What a simple way to use a bottle! After you’re done drinking, grab your glass bottle and get creative. I wrapped galvanized wire to add some fun texture. Then you just put in your favorite flowers and you’re done! Super simple and really fun to incorporate into any room.

Tutorial 2: Bottle Piggy Bank

What you need:

    • Coca-Cola Bottle
    • Knife
    • Coins
  • OPTIONAL: Googly Eyes

First, use a knife to cut a whole on the twistable cap. BE VERY CAREFUL!

Make sure the hole is wide enough for coins to go through easily.

Use a hot glue gun and glue eyes above the lyrics (to be watching them of course).

Twist on cap and use!

Instagram post 2190249009863838476_187469080 Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster. It’s simultaneously full and busy yet I feel like it’s slow. I’ve felt crippling anxiety come but I’ve also felt so certain in where I’m at. It’s weird and I can say I’m doing fine but I know that I’m emotional often. But I’m learning my “why” behind everything. The actions I take, the things that I say, and even the content I create. Does this point back to God? Can people see Jesus first?
It’s caused for a lot of restructuring in my thinking and in my life and it’s hard but I need my life to be a reflection of Jesus and that’s where I’m at.
