Best Travel Makeup

I’m doing my first international trip this year and I’m so excited. Whenever I think of packing makeup, I panic a bit. I think of TSA sizes and what can break. Thankfully I’ve been keeping my makeup looks very simple so the items I mention can easily be put in my personal item bag. I do tend to stay away from liquid makeup regardless if I buy the correct size. Here’s the best travel makeup that will help you look nice and let you go through security quickly.

Traveling? Here's the best travel makeup to take with you! Click To Tweet

Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish

I have the small version of this primer and it works great. Smashbox primers are one of my favorites to use so having a travel version is a must. The packaging is good to just throw in my bag and go. It’s also more of a gel so I don’t have to worry about a lot of spillage.

Foundation: YSL All Hours Stick Foundation

I’ve talked about this foundation before and it’s a favorite. Since it’s a small stick tube it doesn’t take much space and don’t have to worry about it spilling. It’s medium coverage and fits my dry skin well. Plus you can use anything to blend it with so it’s easy. My new go-to.

OPTIONAL: Concealer. Yes crazy. I usually put my foundation all over my face. So I try not to pack concealer. Yes, it’s weird. But also helps if you pack a CC cream instead.

Eyebrows: Anastasia Brow Wiz

Again, simple is the name of the game. The Brow Wiz is a two-sided pencil and it works great. You can make your eyebrows work with this one thing. This brow pencil is such a staple and easy to travel with. Forever a holy grail item even when I’m not traveling.

OPTIONAL: Brow gel. I do have a small Hourglass that I pack in sometimes but if you can go without it the better.

Eyeshadow: Elf Mad for Matte

I talk about this pallette a lot and use it for several looks. The packaging is slim so it doesn’t take up too much space. All the colors are neutrals so it’s so easy to make a look. I use the black eyeshadow as an eyeliner. This is such a handy palette.

Mascara: Milk Kush High Volume Mascara

One of my new favorites. My eyelashes look so long and full with this mascara. The tube is a little long but the most important thing is that it is made with durable material so you know it won’t break on you. I will say that this does smudge a bit so something to keep in mind.

Cheeks: Makeup Revolution Shimmer Brick

I’m a huge bronzer, then blush, then highlight girl. But for traveling taking three items and then three brushes just adds more bulk. My favorite is the Makeup Revolution Shimmer Brick, which sadly I can’t find anymore. It’s all three in one and really compact so easy to take with you. The colors are soft and pretty. The best way to get color on your cheeks.

Lips: Burt’s Bees Tinted Balm

I actually hate wearing lipstick when traveling because I’m weird. Since I’m on the drier side, not having accessible mirrors and such means I can’t touch up easily. Burt’s Bees Tinted Balms are my favorite. It hydrates and gives my lips a nice sheen so I have two things in one. It’s a regular lip balm size so fits perfectly in a makeup bag.
