A Pop of Red

I know I’m beating a dead horse by saying this (if you’ve read my other posts) but I always wear black. But again, I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. In comes in this faux leather red skirt. Who knew I’d be into a pop of red but here I am.

I wanted a skirt that I could get multiple wears from. What I like about this skirt is that it can easily go from day to night and also be worn without tights. I wore tights because I get cold easily and it decided to be winter in California apparently. But I also decided to tuck in a simple white sweater to make it look great for the day and keep me warm.

The easiest thing is to take off the sweater and have a simple black top and there’s now a second outfit! Switch up the shoes to heels and you’re ready to go at night. I like this skirt because even with flats and a dressier shirt, it’s a good length to wear to work. The color is not too crazy but still gives the outfit a pop.

Also, I’ve never been the biggest skirt wearer so it’s a whole new thing for me. I’m actually leaning more towards wearing them more than pants. It’s something I’m going to be incorporating into my wardrobe and hopefully stop looking like a potato all the time.

What color is your must when you want a pop of color?
