25 Things I Learned in 25 Years

Mid-twenties are a weird time. I feel like it made me think a lot about how I’m living my life. This past year just made me think a lot. 25 is a big age. I no longer feel like I’m super young but don’t feel old so it’s a weird gray area. Every year that goes by I am more intentional of how I live life and think about things. Here are the 25 things I learned in 25 years.

  1. I’m in control of how I deal with things
  2. Pushing myself to do spontaneous things is great
  3. My relationship with God will always be the most important thing
  4. Don’t force friendships to happen
  5. I like being busy
  6. The right people will come into your life at the right time
  7. Stop being so afraid of all things
  8. Forgive people even if they didn’t apologize
  9. Driving doesn’t suck sometimes
  10. I love working out but eating healthy is the worst
  11. Be kind to everyone
  12. Things can be out of my control and it is what it is
  13. Good hair days are good days
  14. Everything is fleeting so enjoy it as it comes
  15. Self-care is great
  16. It’s okay to have quiet days
  17. Social media is tricky and breaks are good
  18. Overthinking gets you nowhere
  19. It’s okay to be simple and not be over the top all the time
  20. Being silly is okay so just enjoy life
  21. Taking care of yourself emotionally and physically becomes a must
  22. Doing things by yourself isn’t so bad
  23. Naps are Godsent
  24. Don’t compare where you are to where others are
  25. When God is behind something, even the most impossible situation will work out

25 was a wild year for sure. I had some of the lowest lows but also the highest highs and realized how strong I can be. It was definitely a year where I became more self-aware of who I am and how I deal with things. I have no idea what this new year holds but I’m going to take it as it comes.
